ULTRA I memoria cosmica 2025

With Ultra I memoria cosmica, the composer and conceptual artist Tim Otto Roth recalls the history of the discovery of cosmic radiation at the research station on the Hafelekar in Innsbruck with ethereal light and sound movements. 75 luminous loudspeakers transform the turbine room, which is immersed in a deep blue by means of filter foils, into a sound laboratory. The movements, which mainly run from top to bottom, not only allow the invisible ionising radiation from space to be experienced by the senses, but the energies translated into pitches also become a spatial-musical experience. The "natural score" for the various pieces is based on very different data sets from neutrino observatories.
