SOUND LECTURE NIGHT 2025
Music has always been more than just entertainment – it has been a form of protest, a statement and an expression of a generation. From the first rock ’n’ roll riffs of the 1950s, through beat and blues rock, to new wave, punk and reggae: every era produced its own ‘young rebels’, who changed society with their new sounds.
At the SOUND LECTURE NIGHT, DJs, music journalists and pop archivists Albrecht Dornauer (Subarchiv Innsbruck) and Al Bird Sputnik (Trash Rock Archives Vienna) will take you on an audiovisual journey through 50 years of music history in Tyrol and Austria.
Using records, images, videos and plenty of stories, they’ll show how international trends shaped the local music scene – and why some things that are taken for granted today were considered scandalous back then.
An evening full of nostalgia, rhythm and insight – right in the courtyard, as part of Coll:b am Hof.
