Project R&C 2022

The ensemble Project R&C, short for "recorder" and "cello", consists of the recorder player Magdalena Spielmann and the baroque cellist Szczepan Dembiński. The two have set themselves the task of researching and practically revitalising the continuo practice that was widespread in the 17th and 18th centuries, which envisaged the cello as the only continuo instrument, as well as exploring the attractive tonal possibilities that arise in particular from the intimate combination of recorder and baroque cello. Chamber music can thus be experienced in a completely new sonority.
