Positive Futures Festival – Rokia Koné & ARK 2025

Rokia Koné, aka the Rose of Bamako, casts a spell over us with her clear and graceful voice, which floats above bass, synths, traditional percussion and Mande guitar grooves. Her music - which can be heard impressively on her debut BAMANAN - is a tribute to the Bamara people of southern Mali and the griot tradition. With astonishing power and authenticity, Koné guides her voice virtuously through the emotions and reminds us of her origins and culture.
ARK is the first joint project by Mona Matbou Riahi, Miriam Adefris and Lukas Kranzelbinder. The trio explores new sonic terrain - bold, multi-layered and full of depth. Between structured improvisations, poetic textures and eruptive passages, an artistic dialogue emerges - intense, curious and willing to take risks. ARK is not a conventional ensemble, but an open field of acoustic discoveries.
