Coloured pigments - also called "powder colours", are not only the salt in the soup, but also what makes painting: In them lies all the power of a painting, the light that can be radiant or mysterious, the secret of painting. To make them paintable, they are bound in different techniques with different binders. This makes it easy to produce tempera, oil or acrylic paints yourself, which can be used creatively and individually, depending on your own ideas.
This weekend seminar offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of pigments and binders and other painting materials. You will learn about painting grounds, stretch your own stretcher frames, prime, experiment playfully with egg tempera or acrylic paints that you have made yourself and achieve results beyond the usual commercial and prefabricated paints.
