Klaus Zellmer 2023

Klaus Zellmer, who holds a degree in business administration, began his professional career in 1997 as an assistant to the Executive Board at Porsche AG. In 1999, he moved to Porsche France, where he was responsible for sales network development and then took over as Area Manager for North America.

In 2000, as project manager, he was responsible for setting up the sales and marketing departments as part of the relocation of the Porsche plant in Leipzig. After managing the customer centre at the Porsche plant, Zellmer became Head of Marketing at Porsche Germany in 2007. this was followed in 2010 by a move to the position of Chairman of the Executive Board.

in 2015, Zellmer joined Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta, USA, as President & CEO. Since 15 September 2020, Klaus Zellmer has been the Board Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand and during this time has made a significant contribution to consistently aligning Volkswagen with the needs of its customers in organisational, digital and sustainable terms.

He has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Škoda Auto a.s. with effect from 1.7.2022.
