Finalkonzert 16. Cesti-Wettbewerb 2025

As the festival draws to a close, the grand finale is upon us: the ‘Pietro Antonio Cesti’ Baroque opera singing competition.
Following the preliminary rounds, the competition’s top performers will once again face the jury and the audience in the final concert, vying for the coveted prizes. Among other things, the most talented candidates can look forward to the chance to take part in Barockoper:Jung 2026. The audience in the Great Hall at the Haus der Musik also plays a key role: voting for the Audience Award.
The Cesti Competition has long since established itself as a springboard for international singing careers. Former prize-winners such as Sophie Rennert, Emöke Baráth, Rupert Charlesworth and Arianna Vendittelli now perform on the world’s most sought-after concert stages. And the stars of tomorrow are already waiting in the wings!
