At a time when the future is making its way into our daily lives and influencing fundamental aspects of human behaviour, we are dedicating ourselves to a systematic examination of the future and its many possibilities. In view of the rapid changes and challenges of today, we recognise the need to research the future in a targeted manner. We firmly believe that a comprehensive engagement with the future and future thinking are crucial to developing solutions for the global challenges of tomorrow. This UNESCO Chair has a clear mission to promote innovative approaches that enable a sustainable and future-proof world. We are committed to promoting research, teaching and the exchange of knowledge to support the development of competences for a successful future.
