Not only since the Snowden revelations have we known that various actors on the internet monitor us and track our steps. Besides intelligence agencies, it is mainly corporations like Google and Facebook and the advertising networks behind them that are interested in what we do. This course will show how our digital footprint can be reduced. What can we do against tracking on our devices, how should the browser be set secure and data-saving? Should we encrypt data and emails and how does that even work? This and more will be presented theoretically and tried out practically.
