Talkessellauf 2025

Updated on 15.04.2025

The Talkessellauf on 12 April 2025 impressively proved that sport is much more than just performance. The third edition of the run was not only a complete sporting success, but also a real celebration of community. The running event in the valley basin united all age groups, professional and amateur runners, local heroes and international guests - with plenty of team spirit and enthusiasm.

273 runners took part in the main competition, which covered around 11 km and 200 metres in altitude - through the valley basin. The route led from the start at the old cinema through the meeting zone in the centre of Landeck to Perfuchs, via Burschl, Sonnenweg and Lötz to Zams and via the Zams hospital, Blumenallee and Riefe to the Landeck recycling centre and on behind the barracks via Urtl and Maisengasse back to the finish. In the men's race, Frowin Stecher from South Tyrol completed the course in a strong 39:52 minutes, beating Simon Albertini (40:46 min.) and Marek Pavličko (41:02 min.), who had travelled from Slovakia. In the women's race, it was also a South Tyrolean, Selina Christandl from the Laatsch-Taufers running club, who won the race in 46:16 minutes. Tamara Thurner (47:11 minutes) and Tanja Plaikner (48:22 minutes) followed in second and third place.

The 94 children who took part in the children's races through the meeting zone sent out a strong signal in favour of young running talent! In competitions organised by age group, the focus was on the joy of sport and exercise. Children from 1 to 14 years old were at the start, including the two youngest participants from TKL 2025, the twins Franz & Zita, who will be two years old in July. 9-year-old Leo Mungenast was the youngest participant in the main race and finished in 3rd place in the U20 category! Equally strong was the Flunger couple, both over 70 years old, who completed the course in impressive times. There were also numerous walkers at the start, including Elisa Thönie, who ran the lap with baby Emil in a pram - loving proof that exercise works perfectly with a family. The Talkessellauf also featured a barrier-free 4km route for wheelchair users, which led from Landeck to Perjen and back again, made possible by the commitment of Sandra Careccia (regioL- barrier-free). Three participants completed the 4 km route, setting a great example for inclusion and participation. A running team from Lebenshilfe Tirol also successfully tackled this 4km route on foot.

With 34 teams, the field of participants was more colourful than ever. Regional companies such as Handl Tyrol, Elektro Müller, Hotel Verwall Ischgl, Sozial- und Gesundheitssprengel, ematric and many more were among the participants, while schools and clubs also made a strong showing, including MS Clemens Holzmeister with 14 pupils, TSC Landeck-Zams, SV Kauns, Vinschgau racing club, the Volders mountain running team and many more. The most original team names included "Stiftung Wadentest", "Cool Runnings", "BarefootNairobi" and "You'll never walk alone", while the team ranking, which was determined as the fastest average time of all participants, was won by the Hotel Verwall running team, ahead of Team Lauffreunde Graun and in third place the Trail Motion Running Team.
