More than 1,500 athletes from five continents will come together in Fieberbrunn from 7 to 9 August to be part of the international trail running elite.
The rush has never been so great: all starting places for the KAT100 by UTMB® 2025 in Fieberbrunn were already allocated in mid-May - earlier than ever before. From the legendary "100 Miles" distance and the Endurance Trail to the Marathon and Speed Trail: all competitions are fully booked. With more than 1,500 participants from over 50 nations, the event not only sets a new record - it once again emphasises the importance of the Pillerseetal as a trail running stronghold in the Alpine region.
Top international runners on all distancesWhetheron the 100-mile supreme discipline, the challenging Endurance Trail, the fast Marathon, the versatile Speed Trail or the compact Easy Trail - top international athletes and ambitious amateur runners will come together on all routes of the KAT100 by UTMB® 2025. They include German trail running great Ida-Sophie Hegemann, Austrian local hero and "Heart of the Alps Ultra" winner Alexander Hutter, Adriana Moser from the Netherlands who lives in Tyrol, Daniel Hauser, winner of this year's Koasamarsch ultra run, and French ultra trail specialist Grégoire Curmer. They all take on the alpine challenge in Pillerseetal - on technically demanding routes with impressive scenery and a real trail running spirit.
7.August: Start for the longest ultra trail in AustriaThe100-mile distance starts on Thursday, 7 August at 18:00 in the centre of Fieberbrunn. The other competitions will follow on Friday (Endurance Trail & Kids Trail) and Saturday (Marathon, Speed and Easy Trail). A total of eight competitions are on the programme.
Trail running up close: spectators welcomeSpectatorhotspotsalongthe route will give you goosebumps: for example at the Streuböden middle station, on the Lärchfilzhochalm, at the Wildalmen or in the finish area in the centre of Fieberbrunn. Visitors can expect DJ sounds, culinary delights, an expo area and emotional award ceremonies - trail running to cheer for, cheer on and experience.
