Take the mountain railway to the largest summitbookin the AlpsThisfamily-friendly hike leads to the largest summit book in the Alps, which is located on the Neunerköpfle. The trail is well signposted and offers numerous opportunities for breaks. For all sporty types, the hike starts at the valley station of the Neunerköpfle 8-seater gondola lift, from where the signposted trail follows in the direction of Neunerköpfle. Whether on foot or by cable car - once you arrive at Neunerköpfle, it's another 20 minutes from the mountain station to the largest summit book in the Alps. You can record your memories in the book and the perfect location offers space for a souvenir photo.
Smugglers' Trail in the Tannheimer TalThetrail tells the story of smuggling between Austria and Germany. With numerous viewpoints, the Smugglers' Trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the Tannheimer Tal. After travelling up on the Wannenjochbahn cable car from Schattwald, the trail starts directly at the mountain station. Surrounded by nature and fresh mountain air, there are always informative boards along the way that provide information about smuggling. For all sports enthusiasts, a well-signposted trail leads from the Wannenjochbahn valley station through picturesque meadows and forests, gradually climbing uphill towards the path.
Magnificent panoramic views over the entire Tannheimer TalThestarting point for the Panoramahut is at the car park of the Füssener Jöchle valley station in Grän, from where you can easily take the 8-seater gondola lift to the top. From the mountain station, an easy hiking trail takes you to the marvellous viewpoint, the Sonnenpanoramahut, in approx. 10 minutes. The oak hat turns like a carousel - it is the largest rotating hiking hat in the Alps. For sporty hikers, the ascent from the Füssener Jöchle valley station leads through forests and meadows until you reach the viewing summit. Following the path, you reach the summit of the Gamskopf in another 10 minutes. On a clear day, a fabulous mountain panorama awaits you that can reach as far as Munich, 100 kilometres away.
Nature at eye level - 3-lake tourTwosmall peaks, a magnificent panoramic trail, sparkling blue lakes and blooming alpine meadows enrich this varied hike. The 8-seater Neunerköpfle gondola lift takes you effortlessly to the starting point, meaning that you only have to climb a few metres in altitude on this tour.From the Neunerköpfle mountain station, follow the signposted path towards Strindenalpe and on towards Gappenfeldalm, where you can stop for refreshments. Continue along the Saalfelder Höhenweg to the Schochenspitze. The Schochenspitze is a special panoramic mountain because it offers a special view of the three lakes. The descent is via the Landsberger, where you can stop for a bite to eat, then continue via the Traualpe - towards Vilsalpsee, from where you can either walk or take the Alpenexpress back to Tannheim in comfort.
Tip: With a picnic in your rucksack or a stop at one of the mountain huts, you can enjoy your time on the mountain and the view of the impressive mountain landscape.
