Three days of music, movement and real mountain moments: The 1st Reutten Mountain Festival delighted visitors from near and far last weekend and was the crowning glory of the celebrations to mark the fifth anniversary of Bergwelt Hahnenkamm in the Reutte Nature Park region.
Since the takeover of the Reutten cable cars by Pletzer Bergbahnen Beteiligungs-GmbH and Profile Consulting GmbH in 2020, Bergwelt Hahnenkamm has developed into a modern, attractive year-round leisure destination. With investments totalling around 8 million euros, pioneering infrastructure projects have been implemented over the past five years - always with a focus on sustainability, family friendliness and a natural guest experience.
The three-day festival from 20 to 22 June 2025 was held under the motto "Music, movement & real mountain moments" - and more than lived up to this claim. On Friday evening, the young brass band "JUWEHL" and the "Original Hopfenbläser" got things off to a great start.
Saturday was all about the Hahnenkamm Hiking Cup: numerous hikers set off to musical and culinary stations along new and existing trails before the day came to a cosy end at the "Grill & Chill" in the Panorama Restaurant.
The emotional highlight was Sunday, which started the day with a sunrise ride and yoga. A solemn mountain devotion with alphorn players, a hearty morning pint with a brass band and the moving family concert by Bluatschink ("Unsere Zauberwesen") delighted young and old alike.
The well thought-out festival and mobility concept was particularly well received: A 3-day ticket gave visitors free access to all events and allowed them to travel on the mountain railway on all three days for the price of a day ticket. The railway service was specifically expanded - an offer that was extremely well received.
The organisers from Bergwelt Hahnenkamm and the Reutte Nature Park Region Tourism Association were delighted with the great response:
"We can look back on five successful years - and are looking forward to continuing to grow with a strong concept for the future. The Reutten Mountain Festival has shown what happens when nature, culture and community come together."
Bergwelt Hahnenkamm will continue to focus on quality and sustainability in the future. Plans include the "Spieli" adventure world at the mountain lake and the revitalisation of the old mountain station in conjunction with a new hotel project at the valley station. The region is thus once again emphasising its role as a future-oriented year-round destination for locals and guests alike.
