Traditional horse-drawn sleigh race in Wörgl

After a two-year break, the traditional trotting race in Wörgl can take place again.

The Wörgl Trotting Club will once again organise the traditional trotting race on 19 February 2023. On the perfectly prepared snow racecourse at the Wörgl-Lahntal racecourse near the Schadlhof (near the Wörgl-West motorway exit), a total of seven different competitions will be held. In addition to the classic trotting races, a mini trotting race, a Noriker race and a trotting race extend the programme.

The spectacle for horse and winter sports enthusiasts starts at 1:30 pm at the Schadlhof. "Trotting is an integral part of the Tyrolean sporting landscape. After a two-year break, we are looking forward to numerous visitors and see the horse-drawn sleigh race in Wörgl as a great opportunity to also inspire the next generation," says club president Nicole Wegscheider.

The physical well-being of the guests is well catered for. After the race, the winners will be presented with their trophies in the hall of the Brucknerstüberl restaurant in the Volkshaus Wörgl from around 5:30 pm.
