PillerseeTal: KAT100 by UTMB® Österreichs längster Ultra Trail in den Kitzbüheler Alpen

In August 2023, the PillerseeTal will once again be the meeting place for trail running enthusiasts from all over the world. At the KAT100 by UTMB® event, participants can choose from eight different disciplines that will make this trail running experience an unforgettable adventure. Whether professional or amateur, everyone has the opportunity to prove themselves and test their limits in this unique setting. The anticipation for this spectacular event is great and already makes the hearts of all trail running fans beat faster.

Have you ever run 170.7 km across the Kitzbühel Alps? And within 24 hours? Austria's longest ultra trail - the KAT100 by UTMB® - demands everything from the participants. The course leads over the most beautiful and challenging peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps and is a tribute to the passion for running and nature. Runners can choose from eight disciplines with varying degrees of difficulty. But they all have one thing in common: the joy of running!

Thestarting point for each event is Fieberbrunn, in the heart of the PillerseeTal. Under the motto " Clear the stage for mountain adventure dreams" , the town presents itself as a mecca for nature lovers and alpinists and thus offers ideal conditions for the superlative ultra trails. Eight different routes are available to participants.

100 miles of highlights ahead | Austria's longest ultra trail! The 100 miles are the ultimate trail run in the Kitzbühel Alps - athletes can expect a unique race alongside flowing trails, rocky passages and an incredible backdrop.

Looking for a running experience at night? | Endurance Trail, the 92 km route leads from Fieberbrunn to Kitzbühel (840 km and 4,600 hm) - sunset at the Wildseeloder, the fantastically illuminated Jakobskreuz on the Buchensteinwand and the sunrise at the Kitzbüheler Horn included!

The marathon distance offers fantastic trails and even more beautiful views | 48.2 km to trail-run heaven! The Marathon Trail offers fantastic trails and even more beautiful views: the trail leads over Fieberbrunn's most impressive peak - the Wildseeloder.

1.640 metres in altitude, a fantastic summit experience and fast-paced downhill passages | The Speed Trail combines speed with pleasure. The Speed Distance shows what Fieberbrunn's local mountain has to offer on just under 24 kilometres: Picture-book panorama and perfect conditions for athletes.

Easy Trail | With its 8 kilometres, the Easy Trail offers the perfect introduction to trail running, especially for beginners.

Conquerthe 100 miles in a team of two or four | The 100-mile route is completed in an Ekiden team of two or four.

Kids Trail | For all children there is a Kids Trail directly in the village centre of Fieberbrunn! The different routes will make the hearts of the young trail runners beat faster.

The KAT100 has been confirmed for the UTMB World Series 2023 and also offers the opportunity to collect running stonies to qualify for the finals at the UTMB Mont Blanc. All finishers of the 100M, 100K, 50K and 20K runs will receive Running Stones which will be used to enter the draw for the UTMB World Series Finals.
