Advent magic in the Tiroler Oberland adventure area

When the Advent season arrives in the Tyrolean Oberland, long-awaited old customs and reflective evenings are celebrated again. A brand new highlight can already be marvelled at - the "Grüble Weihnacht" in Ried im Oberinntal.

The Tyrolean Oberland experience area celebrates the most beautiful time of the year in a quiet and contemplative way. The colourful Advent programme offers a variety of options, such as the annual contemplative Castle Advent in Sigmundsried Castle in Ried, which is accompanied by Advent sounds, carriage rides, Christmas stalls and regional delicacies.

The annual "Krippa schauga" in Pfunds also offers a contemplative programme. Together, visitors go on a hunt for a shelter along the village street and stop to admire handmade nativity scenes in various styles. In addition to the nativity scene, there will be a musical by the children's choir and the traditional nativity play by the youth group. Afterwards, the Nativity Society and all the participants look forward to a cosy and contemplative finale with musical accompaniment of mulled wine, punch and Kiachla.

There is also Christmas music in Prutz. Whether at the "Advent Market", the "Common Advent Carol Singing" or the "Advent in Winkl", everyone is guaranteed to get into the Christmas spirit.

A brand new highlight this year: "Grübleweihnacht" in Ried im Oberinntal. In keeping with the Advent season, the forest path lights up as a contemplative Christmas path. Through the large Christmas gate, the Christmas-decorated Grübleweg leads past contemplative experience stations. An unforgettable family activity.

The same applies to the Badsteig Wichtelwald (Secret Santa Forest) in Pfunds, which, as every year, is transformed into an atmospheric Christmas wonderland. Snowmen, Christmas angels, a hand-carved nativity scene, decorated Christmas trees and even a Christmas puzzle await visitors young and old.
