Yin yoga is a calm form of yoga that aims to promote deep relaxation and flexibility in the body. In a Yin Yoga class, the asanas (yoga poses) are held for a longer period of time, usually between 3 and 5 minutes. Tools such as bolsters, blankets and blocks are used to support the comfortable and relaxed alignment of the body. The longer holding time allows the muscles to relax while the deeper connective tissue, fascia and joints are stimulated and stretched. This releases blockages in the body, improves flexibility, promotes blood circulation and increases joint mobility.

The class begins with a short meditation or breathing exercise to calm down. Individual postures are also accompanied by calm and deep breathing to deepen relaxation and to surrender to the feeling of stretching. During the Yin Yoga class it is rather quiet to give the participants the opportunity to concentrate on their body and their breath and to experience the healing effect of long held positions.

The Yin Yoga class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as the postures can be customised. No prior knowledge or special physical fitness is required. Everyone can experience the benefits of Yin Yoga, regardless of their physical condition.

The ongoing course offers the opportunity to gain a good insight into Yin Yoga practice. The course is suitable for all levels, regardless of whether you have any knowledge of yoga or not. The focus is on holding the postures for a long time. We will also learn breathing techniques that are not only good for the body, but can also support you in everyday life.

Warm and comfortable clothing (long trousers, long T-shirt, jumper, thick socks etc.).
