Yin Yoga is a calm form of yoga that aims to promote deep relaxation and flexibility in the body. In a Yin Yoga class, the asanas (yoga postures) are held for a longer period of time, usually between 3 and 5 minutes. Aids such as cushions, blankets and blocks are used to support the comfortable and relaxed alignment of the body. The longer holding time allows the muscles to relax while the deeper connective tissue, fascia and joints are stimulated and stretched. This releases blockages in the body, improves flexibility, enhances circulation and increases joint mobility.

The class begins with a short meditation or breathing exercise to calm down. Individual postures are also accompanied with calm and deep breathing to deepen relaxation and surrender to the feeling of stretching. During the Yin Yoga class it is rather quiet to give the participants the opportunity to concentrate on their body and breath and to experience the healing effect of long held positions.

The Yin Yoga class is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as the postures can be individually adapted. No previous experience or special physical fitness is required. Anyone can experience the benefits of Yin Yoga, regardless of physical condition.

The ongoing course offers the opportunity to get a good insight into Yin Yoga practice. Whether you have yoga experience or not, the course is suitable for all levels. The focus is on holding the postures for a long time. We will also learn breathing techniques that are not only good for the body but can also support us in everyday life.

Warm and comfortable clothing (long trousers, long T-shirt, jumper, thick socks etc.).
