Soil connects - after all, it is a basis for life.
This calendar of events throughout the year is intended to show the connections between our living environment and this foundation and its products - why they are important, why change is sometimes necessary and what you as a private person have to do with it.
The concept World Acre depicts the current, worldwide agriculture in its relations and, as an open educational space, is the basis for these connections.
Initiatives and institutions come to this open educational space coordinated throughout the year within the framework of the calendar of events and help to delve deeper into these topics and find starting points for change.
THEMATIC BLOCK RECYCLING & WASTE
as part of the action week against food waste, the World Acre Innsbruck also participates in the Tyrol-wide programme, organised by Agrarmarketing Tirol

-Workshop: "Our food on the global field", 16:00 (families), 17:00, 18:00
The world acre shows how much arable land is used worldwide - calculated down to one person.
The hands-on workshop reveals many of the problems of the current food system - but also makes possible solutions more tangible.

-Workshop: "open world acre workshop", 17:00
Learn more about the idea behind the World Acre. For example, why the different planted areas are of different sizes or how much the whole thing has to do with your everyday life.
Because agriculture doesn't just play a role in the food you eat on your plate - we also have a say in it every day.
