Walk-in sound installation
With their work animal-voice-pavilion, Paul Gründorfer and Fabian Lanzmaier design a walk-in sound installation. An autonomous system is initiated by means of small-scale electromechanical and digital sound generators that are positioned three-dimensionally in the space. Connections of electronic circuits and digital sound processors are treated as entities to produce semi-natural, squeaking, stuttering, throbbing or even singing autonomous organisms. Voice and speech processes emerge through different applications of feedback networks.
Through the investigation of sound as a processual medium, the question of sound as an independent presence in space is explored. The installation is started and left to itself and can thus be found in various stages
