On these two days, the City of Innsbruck will once again offer its senior citizens the opportunity to go on free excursions to the surrounding mountains. Together
with the Innsbruck transport companies, Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen, Patscherkofelbahn and Schlick 2000, and in cooperation with Innsbrucker Soziale Dienste GmbH, an attractive offer has been put together, which will take place whatever the weather:
Wednesday and Thursday:
On 06 September and 07 September 2023, all Innsbruck senior citizens can use the IVB lines in the Innsbruck core zone and the Stubaitalbahn free of charge. Free travel is also available on the Nordkettenbahnen, Patscherkofelbahn and Schlick 2000.

Furthermore, bus excursions to the Froneben Alm are on the programme on both days:
Departure from the RathausGalerien, entrance Stainerstraße (in front of Hotel "The Penz"):
9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m., return: 2.30 p.m. and 4 p.m
A footpath (approx. 60 metres in altitude) leads from the middle station to the Froneben Alm. However, a shuttle service is also available.

On 07 September 2023, an accompanied excursion of the ISD leads to the Patscherkofel.

All services are free of charge upon presentation of the senior citizen's identity card of the City of Innsbruck.
