STADT.LAND.FLUSS – landscapes and more 2022/2023

As a winter exhibition 2022/23, we are showing a group exhibition on the theme of landscape in all its different facets until 28 January. Works by well-known classical - but also contemporary - Tyrolean artists will be presented, as well as examples by Douglas Witmer and Jeffrey Cortland Jones (USA) as special guests.

STADT.LAND.FLUSS shows the different approaches and emphases in relation to the landscape. City (landscape), nature and water depict the artists' respective direct surroundings and are artistically processed under this influence. The spectrum ranges from the classically expressive oil painting or watercolour to the graphic approach - also in prints - to abstract, reduced depictions in which the vastness or colourfulness of the landscape is taken up and becomes the theme

In the course of the exhibition, other artists and supplementary offerings from the gallery's holdings will be shown on a rotating basis
