In May of this year, Julian Walder represented Austria in Indonesia on the occasion of 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, performing the Korngold Violin Concerto in the Jakarta Concert Hall with the Jakarta Concert Orchestra. Concerts have taken him to the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He has won prizes at many international competitions, including the Grumiaux Violin Competition in Belgium, the Osaka Music Competition in Japan and the Henri Marteau Violin Competition in Germany. Julian has already released his second CD worldwide and has been teaching a violin masterclass at the renowned Lilienfeld Summer Academy in Lower Austria since the age of 21.
