SnowFest Innsbruck 2023

SnowFest is entering its second year and is looking forward to pitching its tents in The Hague/NED (8 - 10 December 2023) this autumn after its great premiere success in 2022. In Innsbruck, the spectacle will once again take place in front of the Tiroler Landestheater in the heart of the city from 24 to 26 November 2023. The SnowFest celebrates the colourful diversity of winter sports in all its facets with free admission. The centrepiece is the Winter Sports Village, which offers easy access to various winter sports. Sporting highlights include the renowned Rock A Rail Snowboard Contest and the DownTown StreetSki Contest with snowboarders and freeskiers from all over the world.

WINTER SPORTS TO TOUCH - this is what the Winter Sports Village offers at SnowFest. Local sports clubs and associations present their sports for three days. Find out more, try them out and get to know them. Whether on the snow, on the mat or on the simulator. The SnowFest is for all generations, while the little ones are in good hands for their first attempts on the board at the Burton Riglet snowboard programme, the older children dare to jump over the K1 ski jump and the next ones try out what it feels like to sit in a real bobsleigh.

FREESTYLE ACTION - On Friday, the snowboarders take centre stage at the Rock A Rail, while on Saturday the freeskiers take over and unpack their most creative tricks at the DownTown Street Ski Contest. The 37 m long, 17 m wide and over 10 m high scaffolding with a unique urban set-up is located directly in front of the Tiroler Landestheater. Progressive rail features offer a creative "playground" for freestylers from all over the world. The best jibbers on one and two boards mingle with Olympic and world champions and amaze the audience.

THREE STOPS - In addition to Innsbruck and The Hague 2023, both Rock A Rail and DownTown StreetSki will also be making their first stop in Switzerland at the Freestyle Roots Festival in Switzerland, which attracted thousands of visitors to Thun last weekend. Last year's Innsbruck winners Benny Milam (USA/snowboard), Rachida Aoulad (NED/snowboard) and Valentin Morel (SUI/freeski) won the first stop on the tour and are now coming to Innsbruck as clear favourites with plenty of confidence.
Rock A Rail will reach a milestone in 2023 with the 10th anniversary edition in The Hague, the final stop of the tour. This is where the success story of Rock A Rail began in 2011. Over the years, the event has evolved from a local rail jam into an international in-city snowboard contest with thousands of fans. Rock A Rail stands for top-class street snowboarding with innovative rails and features and creative riding. 10 years of Rock A Rail - a real milestone that is also reflected in the setup, which was revised in 2023 to mark the anniversary.
