Schwanensee (Tschaikowski) ROH
This classic fairy tale depicts the struggle between good and evil, and love's quest to conquer all. The magic of lakes, forests and palaces is brought to life by John Macfarlane's glorious set and Tchaikovsky's accomplished score. The Royal Ballet's magnificent production of Swan Lake returns to the Royal Opera House stage after its 2020 revival was interrupted by the closure of theatres in the wake of the pandemic. This classic of the repertoire is a testament to the late choreographer Liam Scarlett's enduring love of the classics and innate musicality, which are also quite evident in this production.
