This quote from a fellow artist aptly illustrates why Raimund Wörle never really came to the fore during his lifetime and why, unfortunately, as the years passed after his death, he was increasingly forgotten by the public. Wörle is undoubtedly one of the country's recognised landscape painters, as well as an excellent observer of its people - which he impressively demonstrates in his relaxed, dynamic style of painting. The exhibition shows landscapes, figurative works and still lifes from all of the Tyrolean artist's creative periods - oil paintings, wonderful works in tempera, as well as various watercolours and prints. the last comprehensive exhibition to date took place in 1996 in the Kunstpavillon Innsbruck on the occasion of the artist's 100th birthday. With this retrospective, we would like to recall Raimund Wörle's work and quality.
