Ottla – Franz Kafkas Lieblingsschwester 2024
Theatre play about Ottla David, Franz Kafka's sister:
The play tells the story of her life when her entire family was threatened by the Nazis in 1939.
She is deported to Theresienstadt. It is about her experiences in captivity,
her thoughts and her dialogue with Franz Kafka, with whom she had an intimate
intimate connection throughout his life.
She is faced with the decision of saving her life or caring for a large group of Jewish children,
who have been in captivity for a long time.
Her continued deportation with the children is a historically documented and politicised factual situation,
which is not generally known and is contextualised in this narrative.
