Ostergrab Patsch 2022

Holy Easter Tomb in the parish church in Patsch.
Set up from Monday after Palm Sunday to Thursday after Easter.

The Holy Sepulchre in the parish church of Patsch dates from around 1767 by the painter Johann Joachim Pfaundler (1723 ? - 1811). Pfaundler was a priest and painter. He worked as a curator in Schöner from 1763 until his death. He created the holy tombs in Schöner, Telfes, Fulpmes and in Patsch. Today, only the ones in Schönberg, Telfes and Patsch, which are among the most beautiful in the country, have been preserved by him. It is one of the few holy tombs with almost completely preserved representations of its kind from this period, namely in the form of three scenery panels which extend over the entire height and width of the presbytery (approx. 8.5 x 6.5 m). The 3 scenery panels are fully preserved in their original state (coniferous wood frame and plug-in system with nailed and glued normal canvas and glue-guache painting).
