After several participations in exhibitions, Galerie Mathias Mayr now presents the first Austria-wide solo exhibition of the internationally renowned artist Nunzio De Martino in Innsbruck. The artist, who lives in Naples, applies his highly exciting artistic concept to an old sewing machine (Singer 1949) and polyester threads
(Singer 1949) and polyester threads, mostly on canvas. This technique and the intensely perceptible materiality and haptics of the surfaces create an independent position between image and object. The first solo show of his works in Austria provides an insight into his oeuvre as a whole and his particular working method.
