Musica hispanica – Konzert, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik 2024

This concert is a real insider tip! In the impressive ambience of the Jesuit Church, the international ensemble Los Elementos will celebrate a musical mass with works by the greatest representatives of Spanish Baroque, Francisco Corselli and José de Nebra. Corselli arrived in Spain via Italy and soon became the maestro of the Royal Chapel of Madrid. His deputy was José de Nebra. While Francisco Corselli's compositional style is characterised by the Neapolitan school, De Nebra's music spans several eras. His repertoire ranges from the stile antico, the traditionally conservative music of his Spanish homeland, to pre-classical music. In the concert, both influences are masterfully merged into a musical mass.
