His talent and career are legendary - legendary failed... Once Nicolas Cage (played by Nicolas Cage) was a superstar. But then he just made too many bad films. He needs the right role to finally revive his career, but he has other worries: his daughter doesn't want to know about him anymore and he is facing financial ruin. So the tempting offer of billionaire Javier Gutierrez (Pedro Pascal) comes just in time: for one million dollars, Cage is to appear as the star at his birthday party.

Suddenly the former Hollywood star is once again a man in demand, because shortly afterwards he is also contacted by the CIA: The billionaire is a feared criminal and Cage is supposed to gather information undercover at the party. When superfan Javier also has Nicolas' ex-wife and daughter flown in, things take an even more explosive turn.
