Klettersteig Testival 2024

As part of the XHOW initiative, which is dedicated to the topic of alpine dangers and educating mountain sports enthusiasts in both winter and summer, CLIMBHOW has been organising the Innsbruck via ferrata test festival for five years now. This year, the event will last two days for the first time and offer all those interested in via ferrata the perfect setting for getting started in the sport as well as for training and equipment testing on 7 and 8 September 2024. On the Nordkette, free workshops with state-certified mountain guides will teach and practise the correct handling of via ferrata equipment and climbing techniques. You will also learn how to tackle the via ferrata adventure with children and what to do in an emergency. Alpine doctors and mountain rescuers provide valuable tips for first aid on the rock. At the information and test area, professionals will be on hand to answer questions about equipment. The relevant pieces of equipment are available on site free of charge for you to try out and take part in.
