Kein.Mutter.Land – Wenn Frauen nicht muttern und Mütter nicht schaffen 2024

Motherhood is political. And non-maternity is just that. From "It'll come" to "You'll regret it", childless or childfree women* are often stigmatised, "maternal instinct" is glorified as natural and motherhood is romanticised. With their most personal, intimate and formative life decision, women* inevitably find themselves in the public eye and lose their voice.

But how do mothers feel? What if they regret motherhood? Or when the biological clock simply isn't ticking? Two women wrestle their way through all the (taboo) topics surrounding reproduction and childbearing, take a critical look at the "maternal instinct" and describe what is triggered by the "question of all questions" - the question of children.
