The German Circle of Friends, or DFK for short, was founded in 1922 and is an association of German-speaking personalities from business, science, culture and politics. The aim of the DFK is to support the universities in Innsbruck, including the MCI, both ideally and materially, to promote co-operation between these universities and their networking with the business world and, last but not least, to foster friendly relations between its members.

As part of the annual meeting, the DFK is organising the Joseph Schumpeter Forum for the third time this year.
