The German Circle of Friends, DFK for short, was founded in 1922 and is an association of German-speaking personalities from business, science, culture and politics. The objective of the DFK is the idealistic and material support of the universities in Innsbruck including the MCI, the promotion of the partnership cooperation of these universities and their networking with the economy and, last but not least, the cultivation of the friendly relations of its members.

As part of the annual meeting, the DFK is organising the Joseph Schumpeter Forum for the second time this year.
