Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik – Liebesleid 2022

As Irina in Johann Mattheson's "Boris Goudenow" she thrilled the visitors of our Baroque Opera: Young Production 2021. Now the Belgian-born Flore Van Meerssche returns to perform with her finely drawn soprano, rich in colour, in the intimate setting of the Nikolauskapelle at Ambras Castle. She will be accompanied by the lutenist Johannes Ötzbrugger. The programme includes cantatas by Barbara Strozzi and George Frideric Handel, which give voice to the experiences of unhappy lovers and span about half a century from the history of the Italian chamber cantata.
