Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik – Glorious viols 2022

2022 marks the 400th anniversary of the birth of Matthew Locke, one of the greatest English composers of the 17th century, before he had to cede this title to his pupil Henry Purcell. To mark the occasion, the British viol consort Fretwork, which is as outstanding as it is rich in tradition, will bring the music of the jubilarian with them from the Thames to the Inn.
