Igler Bergweihnacht 2024

A Christmas tree, a nativity scene, atmospheric Christmas carols and 200 angels, shepherds and animals: the Mountain Christmas in Igls takes place every year on 23 December at 17:30 in the village centre of Igls. And promises a very special pre-Christmas experience.
Christmas carols are sung in front of a Christmas tree and a nativity scene on the village square. Afterwards - from 18:00 - the procession begins.

200 angels, shepherds and animals accompany the sleigh with the Christ Child, Mary and Joseph from the Old Town Hall through the centre of the village to the garden behind the Tourist Information Office. Atmospheric performances with a living nativity scene and Christmas music are of course part of the programme. The St. Aegidius choir sings Christmas carols, while brass groups from the Igls-Vill brass band provide Christmas music. The programme ends with the singing of "Silent Night, Holy Night".
