The Influence of LGBTQIA+ in Jazz, Swing and the Harlem Renaissance: This special presentation focuses on the often overlooked influence of queer people on jazz and swing, the music and the dances, painting a new picture of an era of people whose identities have been left out of the history books. Afterwards there will be a Lindy Hop taster and open dancefloor for all with music by our shellac DJs Sandra & Axel from Balboa Baby! The talk will be in English.
