Führung Ausstellung Tee – Aufguss mit Genuss 2022

After water, tea is the most consumed beverage in the world. Its history begins in China, where infusions from the leaves of the tea bush have been enjoyed for thousands of years. The exhibition at the Botanical Garden Innsbruck takes a comprehensive look at the cultivated plant Camellia sinensis. It spans the arc from the people who grow the tea to those who enjoy it. Visitors are given an overview of the history of tea drinking from its beginnings in China to more recent trends such as bubble tea. The social and ecological problems of tea production and the significance for global trade are highlighted. In addition, concrete examples from different countries show what fair and ecological cultivation can look like

There will be a guided tour of the exhibition and parts of the Botanical Garden, followed by tea tasting
