Festkonzert für Josef Pembaur 2023

Students and teachers from the Innsbruck Music School have chosen cheerful, whimsical piano pieces and fantasy pieces from the composer's extensive oeuvre for the festive concert.
For almost half a century - from his appointment as Innsbruck's music director in 1874 until his death - Josef Pembaur (1848-1923) played a formative role in the cultural life of his home town of Innsbruck. Today, a street, a bridge, a student dormitory and several other places in Innsbruck still commemorate him.
