of the special exhibition "Forum Museum. Open space between history and vision of the future"

200 years of the Association, 50 years of the Museum im Zeughaus and new developments: Ferdinandeum NEW & Zeughaus NEW.

It is important to make threshold spaces between history and future vision, between art and visitor visible and understandable. A museum should project these retrospectives forward in such a way that they fulfil important conditions for the common good and refer to social events. The visitors' perspective should be included.

At the same time, it is also about questioning the role of the museum. The museum as an institution? What effect does this have on the exhibited objects? What role does the museum play in the countryside and the city? What significance does it have for the population? How can museums remain relevant?
