Die Vielfalt der Wildbienen 2022

Around 400 different wild bees live in Tyrol - the smallest are only a few millimetres in size, while the blue wood bee reaches an impressive 3 cm. Most of them are solitary, while the furry bumblebees form summer colonies. On this course you will learn general and specific facts about these important pollinators during a tour of the Botanic Garden: body structure, colour pattern, nectar plants, way of life and protective measures.
