A tower surrounded by water. The twilight on the horizon. The sound of boats docking. Poppet and Semiramis have invited many important guests to their modest abode for the evening. As they arrive one by one and the room continues to fill up, the guests and their overwhelmed hosts feverishly await the ever-approaching climax of the evening..
Ionesco's "The Chairs" can unquestionably be counted as one of the most important works of absurd theatre and has led to great productions over the years. The association "Theater am Limit" (TaL) in collaboration with "die Bale" is all the more pleased to be able to call this classic its first official production.
