While climbing is becoming an absolute trend sport, Marc-André Leclerc climbs alone, far away from the limelight. The ascents of remote steep faces that the 23-year-old undertakes are among the most daring solo tours in history. Yet he hardly draws any attention to himself. With no cameras, no rope and no margin for error, Leclerc's mountain ascents are the epitome of solo adventure.

Director Peter Mortimer ("Through the Wall - The Dawn Wall" about Tommy Caldwell) is fascinated by Leclerc's achievements and wants to make a film about him. But the Canadian solo mountaineer is elusive: he is a publicity-shy nomad, owns neither a phone nor a car and is rather reluctant to share his pure vision of mountaineering with a film crew.

Peter Mortimer finds it hard to keep up with Leclerc, and at the same time his solo tours become more and more extensive and daring. Some top mountaineers are amazed by Leclerc's achievements, while others are concerned and think he is taking too big a risk. Then Leclerc embarks on a historic adventure in Patagonia that redefines the possibilities of solo mountaineering.
