Das wilde Herz Europas – Wildtiere im Anmarsch 2021
Book presentation & photo reportage
The wild heart of Europe (Knesebeck, 2021) is still beating. In this lecture, we will join Christine Sonvilla and Marc Graf (National Geographic and UNIVERSUM, among others) on a photographic search for traces of the wilderness potential of our latitudes. We discover "real" forests, get to grips with the last untamed rivers and reveal just how wild the mountains really are. And then there is the return of the three large predators: wolf, bear and lynx. We shed light on the tension between nature conservation and economic interests. The speakers will talk about their personal adventures and give an insight behind the scenes of wildlife photography. Admission free!
Christine Sonvilla & Marc Graf are internationally recognised photographers, filmmakers, authors and qualified biologists who have been working on nature and wildlife reportages for many years. Their radius of action extends from the treeless expanses of Scandinavia to the humid, swampy swamplands of the Florida Everglades and the deserts of Oman, always with the aim of inspiring people to take an interest in nature, its protection and sustainable management. Since 2015, they have discovered the "nature on their doorstep" and have been focussing intensively on the large predators of Central Europe.
