The traditional market
Surrounded by the medieval houses of Innsbruck's old town, you can immerse yourself in what is probably the city's most traditional Christmas market. Under the Christmas tree hung with lights, 64 rustic Christmas stalls are lined up next to each other.
The scent of almonds and Kiachln, lovingly carved nativity figures and colourful felt hats: the Christmas market is all about folk art. To the sounds of the tower brass band at the Golden Roof, you can experience all facets of home - strolling through the fairytale alley or savouring spicy mulled wine in the guest gardens all around.

Daily programme:

Fairy tale & giant alley - fairy tale theatre at 16:30 and 17:30. Discover the 28 life-size fairy tale and giant figures in the haunted alleyways of the old town.
Tower brass band from the Golden Roof at 17:30. The Amraser Turmbläser are one of the centrepieces of the Old Town Market and delight visitors with a selection of traditional and atmospheric Christmas carols just in time for dusk.
