Christkindlmarkt Altstadt 2023

Surrounded by medieval houses in Innsbruck's old town, you can immerse yourself in what is probably the city's most traditional Christmas market. Under the illuminated Christmas tree, 40 rustic Christmas stalls are lined up next to each other. Fragrant almonds, lovingly carved nativity figures and colourful felt hats: the Christkindlmarkt is all about folk art. To the sounds of the tower brass players at the Goldenes Dachl, you can experience home in all its facets - strolling through the fairytale alley or sipping spicy mulled wine on the viewing platform.

Daily programme:

Fairytale performances on the Fairytale Stage, Seilergasse at 4:30pm and 5:30pm. The Westbahntheater Innsbruck takes young and old into the exciting world of fairy tales. Tower brass band from the Goldenes Dachl at 5:30 pm. The Amraser Turmbläser are one of the centrepieces of the Old Town Market and will delight visitors with a selection of traditional and atmospheric Christmas carols just in time for dusk. Performance by the Innsbruck Music School on the Fairytale Stage , Seilergasse At 6:00 pm.
