Beast – Jäger ohne Gnade

After the tragic death of his wife, Dr Nate Daniels (Idris Elba) travels to where he once knew her: the South African savannah. The long-planned trip to the game reserve of biologist and old family friend Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley) is supposed to give him and his teenage daughters Meredith (Iyana Halley) and Norah (Leah Jeffries) the opportunity to overcome the heavy loss. They don't get much opportunity to do so, however, as they become the target of several aggressive attacks by a bloodthirsty lion who seems to deliberately target humans after surviving an attack by brutal poachers. And all of a sudden, the healing journey turns into a desperate fight for survival. But Daniels will not let himself and his fate-stricken family become prey without further ado - and takes up the fight against the wild beast.

The multi-award-winning adrenaline specialist Baltasar Kormákur (Everest, 2 Guns) has staged the gripping survival story BEAST - Hunters Without Mercy as a stirringly emotional and nerve-wracking adventure against the original backdrop of South Africa. The screenplay by Ryan Engle (Non-Stop, Rampage - Big Meets Bigger) is based on an original idea by Jaime Primak Sullivan.nnThe main roles are played by the charismatic Golden Globe winner Idris Elba (Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, The Suicide Squad) and the South African cult star Sharlto Copley (District 9, Maleficent - The Dark Fairy), two acting heavyweights. They are supported by newcomers Iyana Halley (This Is Us, The Hate U Give) and Leah Jeffries (Empire).
