Axamer Wampelerreiten – Unsinniger Donnerstag 2025

The end of carnival in Axams! In the spirit of the free carnival, the traditional Axamer Wampelerreiten through the village as well as colourful Laniger and Maschgertreiben take place in the centre of Axams on this year's "Unsinnigen". We are very proud of our Axamer Wampeler: the Axamer Wampelerreiten was recognised by UNCESO as Austria's Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016.
The "Nonsensical Thursday" is also the end of the carnival season here in Axams.
